Luna Shamsuddoha, the chairperson of Dohatec New Media, was posthumously awarded the ‘Meritorious Achievement Award’ for her pioneering contribution to voter registration with “Multi-Biometric Deduplication” software at the 19th Annual International Electoral Awards, 2023. She founded Dohatec New Media in 1992 and played a significant role in streamlining Bangladesh’s government procurement by creating the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system. She co-founded the Bangladesh Women in IT (BWIT) Forum, providing a platform for women to network, learn, and seek mentorship in the field of IT. Luna’s remarkable work and commitment to information technology have indelibly shaped the industry, inspiring countless individuals to pursue their passions.
Team Dohatec Suffers Disappointing Defeat
Dohatec New Media played against Brain Station-23 in the Inter Software Company T20 Cricket Tournament 2023. Dohatec New Media struggled to score runs, with their top-order batsmen failing to stabilize the innings. Hussain Md. Tito’s late cameo of 44 runs helped them reach a total of 143 runs. Brain Station-23’s batters were outstanding, scoring runs with ease and winning the match in just 10.3 overs, losing only three wickets in the process. Md. Wahid Akther and Md.
