Luna Shamsuddoha, the chairperson of Dohatec New Media, was posthumously awarded the ‘Meritorious Achievement Award’ for her pioneering contribution to voter registration with “Multi-Biometric Deduplication” software at the 19th Annual International Electoral Awards, 2023. She founded Dohatec New Media in 1992 and played a significant role in streamlining Bangladesh’s government procurement by creating the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system. She co-founded the Bangladesh Women in IT (BWIT) Forum, providing a platform for women to network, learn, and seek mentorship in the field of IT.
