Chairman, RAJUK posted a notice on 9th March, 2023 in the ‘Samakal’ newspaper stating that, from 1st April 2023 onwards, all Land use Clearance, Special Project Clearance and Design Approvals are to be submitted to the https://ecps.gov.bd website.
The Electronic Construction Permit System (ECPS), developed by Dohatec, RTI and DotGov Solutions, was launched on 19th September 2021. The aim of this platform is to streamline the permitting process, strengthen monitoring means and enforce compliance. RAJUK will officially begin collecting relevant applications and data from 1st April 2023 to reduce the risk of earthquake related damages for Subzone-3/2 and 4/2 under RAJUK.
Realizing RAJUK’s utmost requirement of an automated system to ensure better administration over construction permit issuance/renewal process and, transparency and accountability, Trade & Competitiveness (T&C) team of World Bank Group supported RAJUK to develop an automated web-based workflow management system known as the ECPS under the ‘Urban Resilience Project’ (URP). In order to build and maintain capacity, Dohatec assigned a team of over 20 employees who graduated from renowned universities all over the world and possessed the capabilities to address such a herculean project.
The Dohatec team has been awaiting this order and looks forward to offer their best effort to all in this transition.
