Awareness Workshop on National Tenderers Database Received With Great Enthusiasm by Tenderers

Dohatec New Media recently arranged a series of workshops across Bangladesh to raise awareness of the National Tenderers Database. These workshops, done under a consultancy contract with DIMAPPPP-LGED and funded by the World Bank, seek to educate tenderers on the benefits of the database and how to use it to their advantage. Tenderers seem to have appreciated the workshops, which have trained over a thousand people across the country in five separate sessions held till date.

The workshop series began on February 27th at the Ali Ahammed Chunka City Library and Auditorium in Narayanganj. The second session was held on March 15th at the Tangail Press Club. Two distinct workshops were held in the Sylhet division, the first on March 21st and the second on March 22nd in Sunamganj. Then, on March 28th, another successful workshop was held in Manikganj.

Each workshop was inaugurated by distinguished guests such as Mr. Rezaul Karim, Additional Chief Engineer Dhaka Division, Mr. Anwarul Islam, Superintendent Engineer, and Mr. Golam Yazdani, Executive Engineer Procurement Unit. Dohatec led the workshops, which included powerpoint presentations followed by lively Q&A sessions. Attendees were also given a folder containing workshop materials such as a pen, pencil, notebook, training manual, and a list of necessary papers and forms to help them understand the database.

The two workshops held in the Sylhet division were among the most notable sessions of the workshop series. These workshops had the most participants to date, with over 300 tenderers participating with zeal. Mr. Sattar Md Abdus, Focal Point DiMAPPP, and Ms. Nurjahan, Executive Engineer LGED Sylhet Divisional Office, among others, addressed the participants.

Dohatec set up transportation for both office staff and employees to ensure the smooth execution of these workshops. This effort was a success because everyone who wanted to attend the workshop was able to do so.

Overall, the workshops were a success in terms of raising knowledge of the National Tenderers Database and its benefits. More workshops are planned for the near future due to strong attendance and positive feedback. These workshops have provided tenderers with an excellent chance to learn more about the database and how to use it to their advantage.
