Strengthening Procurement Capacity: 5 Day e-GP Procuring Entity Training

Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (CPGCBL), Matarbari, Cox’s Bazar

Dohatec New Media successfully organized and conducted a comprehensive 5-day e-Government Procurement (e-GP) Training Program at the Matarbari 2×600 MW Ultra Super Critical Coal Fired Power Plant under CPGCBL, Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar, from 25–29 January 2026. The entire program was facilitated by Dohatec’s experienced resource personnel to strengthen the capacity of Procuring Entity (PE) users.

The program was inaugurated by Nazmul Haque, Managing Director, CPGCBL, and Muhammad Saifur Rahman, Chief Engineer (O&M), who highlighted the importance of e-GP in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accountability, and acknowledged Dohatec’s sustained contributions to e-GP system development, operation and maintenance, as well as nationwide capacity development initiatives.

All sessions were led by Dohatec resource personnel with a strong hands-on focus, covering the full procurement cycle—from Annual Procurement Plan (APP) preparation to Contract Management System (CMS) and payment processing. Participants actively engaged in practical exercises and real-life discussions, with Dohatec resource persons providing tailored guidance and step-by-step demonstrations.

The closing session was attended by Taslima Akter, Director (Knowledge & Training), Dohatec New Media. She reiterated the impact of e-GP and thanked CPGCBL for their cooperation. The program concluded with high appreciation from participants, reinforcing Dohatec’s leadership in delivering effective and impactful e-GP capacity-building programs.

Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Limited (JGTDSL),Sylhet

Dohatec also organized a 5-day e-GP (Electronic Government Procurement) training at Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Limited (JGTDSL) from 31 January to 5 February. The program aimed to support JGTDSL’s journey toward digitizing procurement for greater efficiency and compliance.

The training formally commenced with an opening ceremony attended by JGTDSL’s Managing Director and General Manager, highlighting the importance of digital transformation in the energy sector. All sessions were delivered by Dohatec resource personnel in a modern conference facility, ensuring an engaging and professional learning environment.

The program achieved 100% attendance across all five days, with highly interactive participation. Dohatec resource persons led in-depth discussions on the transition from PPR 2008 to PPR 2025, complemented by hands-on exercises on the e-GP training platform. Real-life procurement scenarios shared by participants were jointly analyzed under the new regulatory framework, making the training practical and impactful.

The program concluded with a closing ceremony where the Managing Director praised Dohatec’s organization, expertise, and delivery, and expressed interest in future training collaborations with Dohatec.
